Thanks for your advice.

Cheers

Hi Walter

Just going into a job so a quick reply.
But check your SMTP (outgoing) server setting is set to authenticate.
Basically it means you have to have your full email address and password set
for outgoing server settings. And authentication is set to password.
Also some overseas connections require you to change your outgoing port also.

Check those and see how you go.
Kind regards
Daniel

Hello Walter,

Are you using Apple Mail on the iPad, or something else, Gmail for example. I
don’t have an answer, but thought it might help clarify for others.

One solution is for you to buy me an overseas ticket, Europe would be nice, and
I can test the iPad out over there. :-)

Regards

Tim

[WAMUG] iPad WiFi connectivity

2023-06-08 Thread FW via WAMUG
Good Morning all,

I have a question regarding the receiving and sending of emails on the iPad.

In my home LAN I can receive and send emails via WiFi.
Also when I go somewhere and log into another LAN.

Overseas I can only receive emails but not send.

Sometime ago I was told that some mail setting had to be changed/added in
order to send emails.
I can’t remember what it was.

Anyone has any idea what it is ?

Thanks,

cheers
