that's weird,
bear in mind you are owner of the hard disk data on it, you should have a
legal right to get the hd drive back, in future bring it to Peter, Daniel, me
or another mac supporter to take the box apart make the drive accessible (put
it in another empty usb or firewire box

why not just opening the time capsule box replace the drive with a 2t one,
format to hfs journaled the capsule has more capacity..
i'm using a second hand drive from an old security cam recorder (500gig win
format) formatted it for mac ...works as time capsule

if you need to remove for keeping the attachement then, you can just click
hold the save button in the address field, then pull down to the selected

if you forward then just prepare the letter you should see the attachements,
place the cursor behind (after the selected one) then

i bought a hp drive (seagate) 2t bytes in officeworks advertized as extension
drive
yes it was preformatted as ntfs for win xp/7
in the webpage there i found info that says:
to use it with macintosh you partition the drive but select 1 partition that
may do the trick, works for me
i just found there is a hdmi to composite video stereo sound converter
(yellow/white/red) available @ jaycar
check for p423 as cat number, that may solve the problem to conn hdmi sound to

just something to add if it's a desktop setup not to move around like my
fw-drives, then of course best is just leave everything connected, before
shutdown you may eject the drives, after shutdown just disconnect the power
board where all drives are connected
just ejecting a drive
see my opinions between the questions
