Not sure why it would be closed. It may be related to the AppleInsider story
linked below that Random House books are now available in the iBookstore, but I
don't see why they would need to close iTunes to add items. It will be
interesting to see if changes are coming.

Was going to say, we may see the iTunes store go down if they are
implementing a few more behind the scenes features they keep talking about
to tie in with the changes to MobileMe
But I think that's still down the track a little
