Is there a way to access the hierarchy of internet plug-ins? I find it most
annoying that the DIVX plugin is at the head of the list in Safari. My
solution has been to remove it but I feel that is not very elegant and there
must be a better way.

Are you using Safari in Mavericks?
Apple's plug-in manager is available in the Security section of the Safari
preferences, where next to the check box for enabling or disabling plug-ins
globally is a button to Manage Website Settings. Clicking this will bring up
a panel that lists

Safari has started to use the DIVX plugin rather than the QT one for playing
QT.mov files. I can not see how to avoid this other than removing the DIVX
plugin from the Internet plugins folder in Library.

You must have some DivX Plug-ins installed.
If so:
1. Quit Safari
2. Remove the DivX plugins from
HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder.

Hello.
I have updated to OS 10.2.4.
E-Record ( a GST tax program) runs in sys 9.
Now when I try to run it E-Record cannot see into the plugin folder. I
can see the plugins.
