Follow-up Comment #3, bug #17712 (project warmux):

At this point of time it's worth mentioning that there is no way to type with
Symbian devices w/o keyboard. All Symbian devices have default nickname of
"Symbian".

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #17712 (project warmux):

I can confirm I managed to kick myself out of a game server. I don't remember
if it was on a game server or one's own (which would contradict my previous
comment).

This brings 2 requirements:
- allow kicking on host
- check we are not kicking ourselves (see first post)

Another interesting thing to provide would be wildcards (which then would
also help bans).

Details:

When 2 players use the same nick, various levels of confusion can occur:
- one will have a hard time telling apart the 2, even if having different
colors
- when performing an admin command, the first one found will have the command
issue on him; if it happens that the game master is found first, he may kick
himself out...

I see 2 possible solutions:
- disallow identical nicks (it's for instance not possible to have 2 people
with the same nick over irc, so that make sense)
- do not perform a kick operation (at least) on oneself, when one is the game
master (this could happen out of fun for the game master, but there might be
some security issue anyway)
