Here’s an updated Norwegian Nynorsk translation. Please commit it to SVN.
1. The ‘...is loading’ text is not translatable
You're right, it is hardcoded into the image. Cc'ing the dev list on
this, but I think this might wait for after version 11.04.
2. The ‘Version xx.yy’ text on the main screen (not the loading screen) is not
translated
Made it translatable and reusing the other already translated string. It
is written as "Version ", hopefully no language uses "
Version". If not, then we can wait next version to fix this.
3. The ‘Select a replay’, ‘Replay info’, ‘Date’, ‘Duration’ and ‘Comment’
texts on the replay menu is not translatable
Indeed, the file was not added to the list of translations. This is now
done, but adds new strings. This is not completely ok, but let's say it
doesn't break existing translations, so translators are free to upgrade
their translation or not.
4. The ‘Action’ / ‘Modifiers’ / ‘Key’ text is overlapping on the options screen
(‘Key bindings’ tab)
Our widgets have to be sometimes tweaked by hand, and compromise between
large and small screens must be made. This could probably be fixed, not
sure we'll do that for 11.04.
5. The headings and the subheadings on the credits screens are not
translatable
Unfortunately yes: those headings are read from a xml file, and there's
no direct way to make them translatable. More reflexion needed here, but
no idea yet.
6. The ‘Teams - Map’ text on the play screen should be translatable as a
complete string, not just the concatenation of two strings (I want to use a
real en-dash or a slash, not just a hyphen, in my translation)
I think it should be part of next version, to not break translations. I
hope it won't bother you too much to wait for it. Unless the Danish and
Polish translators are willing to go through another round of
translations, in which case we can update all of the strings.
7. The text shown when typing ‘warmux --help’ is not translatable
Could be done, not sure how much interest there is in it. Waiting for
next version I guess on this one too.
Also, I think the Web site address (on the main screen) should be either
‘http://www.warmux.org/’ or ‘www.warmux.org’, not the ‘unsymmetrical’
‘http://www.warmux.org’.
No real objection here, little work, so ok, updated.
Thanks again, your current translation was added to the branch and will
be ported to trunk version after 11.04 release.
