Really, this time.
It also ain't nothing to do with debuging.
It just uses OpenGL lighting in favour of custom color modifications.
The change was intended.
The strobe and damage thingies just need to be adapted to modify the 
material of the object.

OK, but until you fix whatever, why not leave that to FALSE, so 
people can get expected visuals?

people in this case is only developers, since the trunk is not intended to 
be used by anyone else.
And the best remember for the devs to fix a problem is to present an obvious 
bug, imo.
The terrain renderer will sooner or later be replaced, so the issue will 
hopefully fix itself.
For the rest: When GL lighting is fully used (planed for 2.1?) this will be 
fixed. Till then we leave it as is, since I think the most important for this 
is to experiment with the lighting as it will be.
