I would be fine with reverting this, but only after someone else fixes
all the warnings currently present in the code first. ;)

Otherwise, I would prefer to stick with the current plan - wait for me
to fix all the warnings (or someone else - I would love for someone to
help me) before turning on -Werror.

I should note that _none_ of the warnings are my own code. I wouldn't
mind if Linux users turned on -Werror for these warnings before I do.
