As I see it there are 3 cases possible:
1) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is not set
2) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is set and directory exists
3) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is set and direcotry does not exist
1) and 2) are currently

Thank you for your swift reply. What you assume to be a bug of my system is not
a bug. It is simply an incomplete system. While it is prepared for building

Try the branch again, I changed it to a timeout-based approach in case the
other events get swallowed. commit fd96be761e53. That one is at a fixed 80ms
but that *has* to be short

It feels like the tests you asked us to record are not indicative of normal
use. Under normal laptop use there is apparently not a period of 5 pressure
change events early
