Nate: in your case the issue is slightly different. The hysteresis is required
for touchpads that don't do firmware filtering. What happens in your case is

ah, that's true:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources show-all-sources true

Defaults don't always work for everyone. The middle button is still a commonly
