Was watching the old Western Escape from Fort Bravo this AM and the
storekeeper was Howard McNear. And he wasn't wearing glasses, so wonder if he
started wearing them between this movie, 1953, and seven years later in
Mayberry, or if they were fakes.like someone else who portrays Floyd
Pertaining to the ethical violations I wrote in about yesterday. The same
sheriff is also accused of taking prisoners to his house to do yard work and
odd jobs. Which brings to mind Newton Monroe.

Yes, but that was BEFORE Howard McNear's (Floyd the Barber's) stroke. When he
returned to The Show later, after his stroke, he was unable to walk, or even
stand without assistance.
