Mayberry or Mt. Airy is 143.12 miles from Reliegh, NC Mt. Airy Andy's home town is in the northern part of the state of NC. Go Hwy 52 north through Fancy Gap and you are in Cana, Va. Almost a stones throw away. I know cause I asked Hernest T. Bass. Mt. Pilot is the town that moved around a bit.
