I was in a party store recently with my darling person (I scanned the boxes for ideas for parties so I could be a good idea man like Barney). They had a baby name book. Name included Goober Names not Included: Gomer or Opie. I was shocked. As this groups has pointed out there was Gomer ( a

No one has mentioned the counterfiters that Aunt Bea worked for that Andy captured. Andy even fired a weapon at those dastardly criminals. I believe that is the only time on the show that Andy fired a weapon in anger. Orville Hendricks - The Butter and Egg Man - Martha always calls me a

I thought he said OIL cloth...w/ a southern accent, that could sound like all cloth.       Mighty pretty black ALL-CLOTH coat! just sounds downright odd to me.  I wonder why the writer had Andy saying that.  It strikes me as rather cumbersome.  Also, one doesn't usually expect a man to remark

Well, I want to send a big thanks to Victor Friskey! He suggested to me that Andy might have been saying (at the beginning of The Rumor, season four) oilcloth coat instead of all-cloth coat. I had heard of oilcloth, but only as used for tablecloths in years gone by. I popped my DVD in and
