I have a great idea for Andy and a TV special:
Andy has played a sheriff and also a lawyer, as well as the bad guys.
So...now, lets have Andy play the part of a Judge, with some big name
players as the lawyers and criminals. That's redundant...big name players to
play the part of the crooks
In The Case of the Punch in the Nose (my favorite), Andy and Barney are
humming and singing Sinners Lose All Their Guilty Stains, which is probably
better known as There is a Fountain Filled with Blood. Has that one been
mentioned?

Well, who's subject? Floyd
I don't remember if anyone mentioned Barney singing, Juanita.

Someone probably knows the answer to this, but I am assuming that on the lot of
the show there was only one street with houses on it. EVERYONE lived 2 doors

nurse Andy dated in the 3rd season, Helen Crump and I'm

Was reading a commentary on the book of Genesis by CC Crawford and he quoted
the Shakesperean passage about, The quality of mercy is not strained. Of

Also, when I hear/read that passage anywhere, I
Nobody renders Hail to thee, Miss Mayberry like our wonderful barber, but I
have to say that my favorite renderings came from Otis. My number one being his
own special version of the Dipsey Doodle.
it means: Crazy, all the things that you see.

This may have already been covered in the past but if so I don't remember. A
friend of mine asked, How many times did Barney dress like a woman in the
show? I can think of two times right off the top of my head but I'll bet there
are more. Thanks! Bob
No one has mentioned, my absolute favoriteI'm sorry I broke your heart,
Mother, sung by Otis one time when he was gassed. I sing that at least once a
day...I'm totally serious, but I'm never gassed..
Otis also sang Dipsy-doodle. That was the only word in his version of the
songI

Hey Jim, Sheila, and everybody else.
I have considered starting a Facebook site for the chapter BUT I don't
want to splinter the group in to Facebook and non-Facebook folks. It
would be ANOTHER place that folks from here on the Digest would feel
