I wanted to nip the rumor in the bud about the release of Andy
Griffith's autobiography. I know that Amazon has it listed as a July
release date but.
Any listings of Andy Griffith's autobiography being available soon are
premature. You can be sure that whenever that book is

This is the only episode of TAGS that I really disliked from the time of its
first broadcast, when I was in my teens. For one thing, I just wasn't
comfortable with the implicit sexualizing of Andy. I wanted him to stay safely
PG-rated (though that rating system didn't exist at the time, of

I was watching Opies Ill Gotten Gain this am and noticed something for the
first time. When he is sitting at the table doing his Addition he says 8 and 6
are 14 and 9 is 21. No wonder he got that F in arithmatic. In his defense
somewhat; he did have Barney rammering in his ear.

I always found the Prisoner of Love episode to be completely different from
any of the others also. We will never know the thinking that went on to come
up with it. What I never understood was Andy always appreciated the looks of a
beautiful woman; remember Babara Eden?, but he never let
