I must say I agree with Aunt Bee of Orlando - how many times have I written to
TV stations to ask why they thought it appropriate to air certain
programs, and how many times have they NOT replied? Impossible to say. but I
figured they ought to know my feelings, so I keep writing.
Dear Vivian,
I read your comment with interest. I agree with you regarding the level to
which our entertainment industry has sunk.
Even in dated segments of TAGS of which there area few, they are still
entertaining. Andy Griffith was extremely well written, all of the elements

Yep, 397 is Howard's phone number, but wonder if it was his work number or
home? Since it was on the vacancy sign for the barber shop, you'd think it
might be his office so he could field queries about the property during the
day.

We often discuss our favorite episodes, characters, songs, etc from TAGS,
but I don't think we have ever talked about what our favorite Mayberry
smells would be.
Mine would be:
the smell of fresh baked cream buns from Boysinger's Bakery
the smell of witch hazel at Floyd's Barber Shop
the smell of
I sat down tonight after church and watched the very first TAGS episode on DVD
(The New Housekeeper). I tell you, I cry every single time I watch it!
Especially at the end when Opie begs Aunt Bee to stay. It just clutches ya!
