While watching the band episode, a question occurred to me, which I've thought of before - has anyone else noticed that whenever there is a city council meeting, it is always during the day, but all the conference calls involving the other sheriff's departments, highway departments, etc. are at night? Wherever I've lived, town or city council meetings are always in the evening since the people on the council, as well as anyone who attends, are working during the day. And I imagine if there are conference calls with town or county departments, most of them are during the day. Mayberry runs things a little upside down - but it makes for great storylines and comedy!
