This past weekend on TCM I watched, for the first time, John Ford's underrated film "The Last Hurrah", starring Spencer Tracy in a great role. There were a lot of familiar faces in the film, but one in particular caught my attention right away: Willis Bouchey, who was in 4 TAGS episodes (including "Convicts-at-Large" where he helped Andy capture the 3 female convicts hiding out in his cabin); one episode of Gomer Pyle; and 3 episodes of R.F.D. In the movie, he played a pretty nasty fellow - unlike his roles in TAGS, where he was a pretty nice guy. Another good character actor who found his way into TAGS.
