Watching MeTV last night, I was a little surprised to see Ken Lynch (Capt. Barker in "The Manhunt", FBI agent in "A Black Day for Mayberry") on "All In the Family" - not as a gruff detective or cop, but as a refrigerator repairman trying to fix the Bunker's fridge. Maybe Aunt Bee should have called him when Andy told her to "Call the man!"
Then, on "Dick Van Dyke", there was Mr. Jackson, the pompous magazine editor from "Andy on Trial" (Roy Roberts) , as a pompous sponsor of the Allen Brady Show - married to none other than the snooty Mrs. Bixby (Isabel Randolph) of the Women's Historical Society in "A Plaque for Mayberry".
