I am a little late in this but I wanted to thank all of the kind people out

who responded to my question about the middle names, now when the pups get
hollered
at for stealing a pie or a gumball out of the machine I know the correct way to
call out
to them. I apologize for the late
I have three dogs, my oldest is named Bernard P Fife (A.K.A. Barney), the

Does anyone know if either Andy or Opie have a middle name or even a middle
initial in the show? I know that Andys
real middle name is Samuel, but I don't

here in Mayberry-land. I sure missed the digest for the 4 weeks I didn't get
it, but was happy to check the archives and keep up with what was going on. So
thank you for getting it back up and running.

I am not what you would call a trained noticer but I saw something in tonight's
episode, The Return of Barney Fife, that I never noticed before. When Thelma
Lou gets to the reunion you can't see her left hand she keeps it angled in a
way that you can't see the ring, when she and Barney are
There are 3 movies that I can think of with Andy Griffith that to me are
hard to watch Gramps and Murder in Cowetta County and Under the

NC area. Just wondering if there was because I would sure like to meet some
people in this area who share a passion for TAGS like I do.

I had the pleasure of once again seeing Rodney and Doug Dillard in concert
at the Mullet Festival here in NC. They put on a great show as usual.
Onstage for just over an hour. Just wanted to let my fellow Mayberrians
about the wonderful opportunity I had.
Have a Mayberry kind of day.

I have been a member for a while now, not sure how long, a year or so I
guess. Didn't get the last one that was issued, but like I said, I would be
proud to wear one of the new ones. Mine would have to be a XXL.
A couple of weeks ago TVLAND showed the episode Andy's Old Girlfriend.
There was a scene in that one where they show Andy, Helen and his old
girlfriend had gone on an overnight trip (Howard was there too, but I can't
remember if he sang or not) and they showed them singing together. It was

following scenes take place:
1)The one where Barney attempts to recite the Preamble to the Constitution.
2)The one were Barney makes a statement about giraffes being selfish
Thanks alot.

I was very sad, as I am sure that you all were to hear of the passing of our
beloved Barney. Don Knotts will always have a special place with me as
well. I recently acquired a new puppy and named him Barney. Yes, Barney
was always my favorite character on the show. I have Barney everything,
