Today I went to a car show in Valpariso Indiana to see our friend Jim Pierce
and our Mayberry Squad win a thophy. Many of you know Jim and JoAnn from
Mayberry days. I was great meeting so many fans. He created some great

After researching this I think I have the answer. The oldest living person
still alive who acted in TAGS is William Schallert,who was born 7-6-1922. That
would make him 90. He played Sam Becker ( That strange duck) in episode 29

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to the surry arts council, the stars of the
show, the shops, and all the fans for this years Mayberry Days. It's been a
tough year with my wife's cancer, (doing very well praise God) it was great to
get away and forget all worries of life and find peace.

Today is Bernard Fox's 84 th birthday. aka Malcolm Merriweather, I heard he
