We have been streaming "The Last Tycoon" on Amazon Prime and they occasionally have exterior shots filmed at Franklin Canyon Reservoir, which we know better as Meyer's Lake. The show is about a movie production company in the 1930's.
Even after nearly 60 years it is still recognizable, mainly from the trees since the lake level was dropped due to seismic issues. If you have never been there in person, it is worth the trip because there are still many locations that have not changed from when Andy and Opie walked down the path, Mr. McBeevee drove off in his truck (the wrong way) and Andy and Helen go to pay the fishing fine.
