About Roanoke Island, I think that is the Lost Colony. They have not been found yet. I guess cause Barney was not on the case. The first established sucessful colony was Jamestown. It is on the Va state tag. 400 th Anniversry, Jamestown 1607-2007. Yes NC has Roanoke Island now. Maybe Va thought they would loose it too. Soem people think the people moved inland to find food and shelter and could have intermarried with the indians. No sign of them was recovered. It remains a mystery.
