Thanks for the old 1993 synopsis of Mayberry Days, Allan!! It sounded just like the first time we went in 1998 and got hooked on it....haven't missed a year since! And I miss Phil Lee as Ernest T...he was so good at it. He lives about ten miles from us but we never see him any more, so Phil, if you're here, howdy!
Never forget Melvin doing the Cacklin' Chicken on his fiddle. Only one problem with Mt. Airy...we went thru on the way to Michigan a couple weeks ago, and went by Snappy Lunch as usual and it was closed for the week!! Alas and Alack!! woe is me!! No po'k chop sammich! We went down to Barney's and had a great meal, though, and had some of Mama's dessert and it was wonderful! If all goes well, we will see you all in a couple months..actually a little less now, and by then Snappy will be open for business!! Have a Mayberry Day!
