In regard to Opie wearing the same shirt for each episode; The Andy Griffith Show is not the only show which did this. We watch Father Knows Best reguarly and Bud also wears the same shirt in almost every episode. Maybe it was a "boy thing". They grow so fast you know. Also if you want to see a large number of Andy Griffith alumni Father knows best is the way to do it. In addition to Elinor Donahugh of course just about every episode has at least one person from the Andy show. Buds high school teacher is the woman from Andy the Marriage Counselor, Mayor Stoner plays a Circus manger who visits the Andersons and they can't get rid of him. Anyway there is someone on just about every episode. On another note I must have watched Opie the Birdman with my daughter too many times. She keeps pretending she's feeding me bugs and worms.
