My sister just called and told me that Mr. Rance Howard passed away.
The Howard family has my deepest sympathy.

Thoughts and prayers to the Howard family in the loss of Rance Howard.
Another TAGS actor has been called to his long home, he certainly was a
wonderful father. In reading and listening to interviews that have been
done by both Ron and Clint even Andy himself commented on what a great dad

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the passing of Rance Howard. His
ever-watchful coaching of Ron and Clint added immeasurably to the show's
success, as well as his own acting talents. He will surely be missed. God
speed Rance.

There was an article in our local paper discussing the Howard family and their
start in Hollywood. It is a two page article. The link to the second page is
sort of hidden below the family photo. It may be have been syndicated
elsewhere. Hope you enjoy.

I rented a movie from Redbox this weekend. It was called Rosewood Lane and what
a wonderful surprise to see Rance Howard in it. He was really good in it...it's
the actor of the man.
Check it out.

For the Rance Howard spotters, here's one that's not on his Imdb credits...
The 1978 NBC TV special STEVE MARTIN: A WILD AND CRAZY GUY closed with a bit
that has Steve knocking on neighborhood doors and asking to to be invited into
living rooms. Lo and behold, one of the residents is none
I don't know whether any TAGS watchers ever watch Seinfelf but I had forgotten
that Rance Howard made an appearance in one show. Just saw it again last
night. He played a farmer and was wearing bib overalls.
Clint Howard also was on one Seinfeld.

This weekend I watched the Ron Howard Film Angels and Demons. This film was
the Sequel to the Davinci Code.. both based on controversial Dan Brown Novels.
This film, like many of Ron Howard's..was not Mayberry..but it was very well
done in the genre. I was pleasantly surprised to see his
I can't tell you how many times I've watched Music Man but today for the
first time I thought I saw Rance Howard. Sure enough when I checked imdb, he
is listed in the uncredited part of Oscar Jackson

I was looking at The Flintstones web site today and noticed that Rance Howard
had written some episodes of that show. One episode written by Rance Howard
had Betty and Wilma taking Judo lessons from Mr Hashimoto. Kind of makes you
go H.

I looked at IMDb to find what character Rance Howard played in Cool Hand
Luke. He was a sheriff in an uncredited role. Next time my husband watches
the movie (his favorite), I'll keep an eye out for Sheriff Howard.

Hello All,
I was thinking about The Flintstones episodes and searched for the episodes
on-line. Well what a surprise I found! Seems that Rance Howard wrote at least
two episodes of the Flintstones. He was the writer of Episodes 128 in Season 5
titled Indianrockolis 500 and an episode titled
I haven't seen it in quite a while, but I'm pretty sure he's one of the TV
crewmen, and that he can be seen at the extreme edge of the screen at the end
of act 2. He says that's a rap or something like that.

Here's my question. The closing credits list Rance Howard as one
over 23 minutes. It has an entire scene featuring
Will Wright (a.k.a. Ben Weaver) that is completely omitted from the
episode that aired on Nick-at-Nite in the 1980s.
Here's my question. The closing credits list Rance Howard as one
of the actors in the episode. I've searched over
-at-Nite in the 1980s.
Here's my question. The closing credits list Rance Howard as one of the actors
in the episode. I've searched over and over and I cannot find Mr. Howard
anywhere in the episode. Does anyone know what happened? Maybe he was in a
scene that was later edited out, but my copy

same age, but we didn't notice it until Ron was an adult since we don't know
what Rance looked like as a child. I remember seeing an episode of Happy Days

middle aged Rance in that episode, he
