Hey thanks everyone for all the comments about stunt men, Hand models etc. that was a fun topic and we appear to still have a mystery about Don Knott's stunt double. I remember reading something in Mayberry Memories, so I pulled out that book. In a larger beautiful picture of the Jinx when they are in the boat..up of the shore the caption notes Stand-ins for Don, and the Henry Bennett actor. So lest we forget..even when they didn't have a stunt man..a stand-in was use to help the crew set up, get the lighting right etc.
What lines/scenes make you laugh out loud no matter how many times you see it?? One of mine is when Otis is singing, then bawling, and when asked what's a matter says "The Old grey goose is dead!" The Untrained Voice I could have been a stand-in for Briscoe Darling. I've got the moustache to swing it _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
