The second incarnation was The New Scooby-Doo Movies, which started in 1972.
This was a series with the whole Scooby gang,
but each episode had a guest star or stars. As previously stated, Don Knotts
appeared not once, but twice on this series.
This series has not been seen much
I also know Don Knotts was in at least one and maybe two of the old original
Scooby Doo movies from the 70's. A Scooby Doo the gang meet Don Knotts
show. I believe am not sure though that he may even have played a cop in one of
them. This was more years ago then I care to admit to though, so
To my knowledge Don Knotts never played Barney Fife in any incarnation of
Scooby Doo, however, Don Knotts did play himself (not Barney Fife) in two
episodes of The New Scooby Doo Movies. In one of them (The Spooky Fog of
Juneberry) the on-screen character did look and act like Barney
I've seen that one. Has anyone seen the new Scooby Doos'.What's New
Scooby Doo? In one episode set in a shopping mall, toys are coming to life
and running amuk.
The security gaurd for the mall sounds and looks a lot like Don Knotts.
Haven't checked the credits yet to find out
Did anyone else see the Scooby Doo with Deputy Don Knotts?
