the all cloth coat

I thought he said OIL cloth...w/ a southern accent, that could sound like all cloth.       Mighty pretty black ALL-CLOTH coat! just sounds downright odd to me.  I wonder why the writer had Andy saying that.  It strikes me as rather cumbersome.  Also, one doesn't usually expect a man to remark
