Mayberry Baseball Lineup

Not a bad lineup, but I don't see how they could keep Ernest T's speed and
throwing ability out of their outfield.. OR he could pitch!

There is a huge difference between flying in a commercial airplane and
a two-seater. At least she got a window seat! What's the special at
the diner today?

I agree, Ernest T should be a natural on the mound. I just hope Opie can
get his schedule worked out so that piano practice won't interfere with his
baseball practice

Aunt Bee in a Plane

2009-01-12 Thread hyperauntjan1
There is a HUGE difference in flying in a jet and flying in a private plane! I
totally understand why Aunt Bee freaked out in the small plane and no, she
wasn't another overemotional petty woman!

In the episode where Aunt Bee soloes,I wonder why at first she covered her
eyes when they got off the ground. She also remarked about high they were
flying.
If memory serves me correctly ,she,Clara, and Myrtle had flown to
Mexico. Therefore,I do not understand why she was so apprehensive while Mr.
McDonald was piloting the aircraft.Just curious.

I hope that the team had a good hitting coach - one that could get Aunt Bee to

Thanks Sarah Etc.

2009-01-12 Thread GRITTON, JOE A (ATTOPS)
Thanks Janet, Mike and all for your comments on my Sarah and Juanita
pictures for Ken's PowerPoint.

You nailed it Janet, that was our own Andy Griffith with The Waitress'.

As for Sarah, Mike (Soak it, Sarah, Soak it) that was just one day or
two that she had to apply Andy's therapy.
You don't really see her with a pinch or snuff either (which Ed Sawyer
knew about) but that just means when
that picture was taken, she was in normal mode. I stand by my
identification of our long lost operator. :-)

I like the baseball line-up also. I would add Sam Jones and his son
Mike. They did all that warming up, every time Mayberry RFD came on.
And for a ringer, how about Helen's niece who could out-run and
out-jump and out-catch Opie. There's no interference in Baseball
right?
(well yeah I guess there is)
I think I'd pitch Howard Sprague. He throws a lot of strikes. Also
Lydia Crosswaite is good at playing the field if you can keep her off
the injured list. (When her back goes out though she gives that hang-dog
look. I'm not sure I would let Goober bat. He knows a lot about
coaching but he's pretty inexperience getting to first base, if you
know what I mean. Floyd would be good for lots of chatter, and making
sure no one steals home (his home)..but don't let his boy out in the
field. Will someone explain to Aunt Bee that a Bunt has nothing to do
with a small cake. (at least she holds the right end of the bat now) .
Ernest T keeps stealing the bases and running off...he doesn't quite
get the concept.

I like to user Miracle Salve on my Squeaky Garage Door. I tried it on
my Dog, but it made him itch even more. I had to go back to Molly
Harkin's mange cure.
He don't have the manage. We just like to try new medicines when he
scratches.

Ernest T in the Line Up

2009-01-12 Thread Ken Anderson
I think Ernest T was left out of the line up because he was going to be
singing the pregame National Anthem. Rumor has it
he even bought a new tin can for the occasion and shaved the back of his
neck.

Re: WBMUTBB Digest, Vol 10, Issue 12

2009-01-12 Thread Jdean46
Dewey, I took flying lessons when younger (I didn't get my
licensepower-on stalls scared the heck out of me) but I loved it. There is
a world of
difference between flying in a small plane and flying in an airliner. The
small
plane makes you feel as if you are really up there with the birds, noticing
every drift and bump of the wind. The airliner is about the same as riding a
bus. I recommend trying a flight in a small airplane to anybody. It is a real
treat, as Aunt Bee learned.
