Hey Mayberry friends. This weekend my wife is traveling with the seniors at our
church to Roanoke, VA with a stop in Mt. Airy on the return trip. After
visiting Mayberry Days she gets to visit Mayberry again this week. Some folks
have all the luck.

I believe it is in the Fun Girls episode you see a poster for a Cary Grant
movie outside the theater. His name is spelled Gary Grant. Just an
observation that has driven me nuts forever.

I would still like to know if anyone has or remembers some of the trivia
questions at this yrs. trivia contest. When we went to Mayberry Days back in
'04 (my one and only time) we loved the trivia contest. And, I remember the
one hard question that for some reason I knew. Which was - What is
Maybe in return to Mayberry, Aunt Bee could have reconnected with her cousin
Bradford and finally gone into the Ice Cream business. She could employ Otis to
pedal her ice cream on his truck, and she could have the compnay HQ in
Mayberry, while Bradford tours around the country promoting the
Did geography of our State simply not figure into the series at all? Yesterday
was watching Barney comes back for the Reunion and something was mentioned
about Asheville just a couple hours from Raleigh .. ? Anyway, there seemed to
be little concern over State geography and borders. No matter.
It has always bothered me - her name was BEATRICE - not BEETRISS. Why did they
always spell it Aunt BEE?? I think that's just how a man would spell it, but
it's not right! GRRR.
It's like the phone calls I get now - they want to spik to LOO-KEELIE
REESHMON!
I tell them when they learn
Hello
Has anyone heard anymore about the possible Nascar Mayberry squad car die cast

I've always been bothered by the misspelled Ashville on the train station
schedule in the Don't Miss a Good Bet episode.
And, Michael, I'll bite - How far apart are Raleigh and Asheville? I remember
many years ago flying into Raleigh for a seminar in Chapel Hill then taking
some time off for a
Larry, Are they coming to Roanoke with John Masters for the choir
competition?? Just kidding. I grew up and work in Roanoke, now live next door
in Salem. Tell her to try and get by the Texas Tavern or Roanoke Weiner Stand
while she's here. Closest thing we have to the Snappy Lunch. Roanoke
Maybe the guy who made up the sign at the theater was the same guy who kept
misspelling Barney's name in the paper.

While I am not as fond of the color shows, I do like some. Howard the
Comedian, Dinner at Eight. But, someone mentioned the lawyer in the bathing
suit show and not liking it. I don't mind watching it because of the terrible
sunburn that Andy got and then he has to explain it to everyone.
I was in Hallmark (Card Shop in Lancaster Ohio) today and saw an Andy Griffith
Show ornament. It was a tv with Andy and Opie walking to the lake (on the
screen). If you push a button, it plays the theme. It was about a $17. Happy

I enjoy many of the color episodes - The spaghetti story is hilarious. My
favorite is the last episode, A Girl for Goober, Mayberry's E-Harmony
episode. I think it was touching that Goober is portrayed as someone besides a
dip stick. Even
I've uploaded the Mayberry Days photo galleries to the Surry Arts Council

Picnic was a delightful movie. When I was a little girl, daddy was in the

mama and me. And we enjoyed the display. Several years
The short answer is Yes. The writers dealt with an unrealistic geography of
NC. But I wonder if they did so to make sure to mention special places.
Toast and Star, which each actually had town limit signs back to back were
mentioned. Manteo, Siler City, even the relative size of Mt. Pilot

My grandmother was known as ' Gramma B 'her name was Bernice.. She prefered to
be called Bee, Bea or even B.
Since we were young she did not mind any spelling errors.

My all-time favorite episode is a colour one; Only a Rose, in which Clara
gives up her blue ribbon to Aunt Bee; a greater sacrifice in the name of
friendship and fairness you'd be hard to find! As for ads in USA Today
in hopes of finding Mr. Schwump, I would be afraid of wasting money if
