ALUMNI SIGHTING
This morning on MeTV Perry Mason, I saw Aunt Bee playing a significant role. Don't forget, and set your TiVo, Return To Mayberry airs this Sunday, 31 May, at 5 Eastern, and 4 Central on MeTV. Wake-up call
Thanks for the wake-up call, Thelma. I meant to write earlier that I really enjoyed "Mayberry Week" on Gomer Pyle last week. I had seen only the episode with Goober before, so it was nice to watch the episodes featuring Opie, and Aunt Bee. The scene near the end of the "Opie Joins the Marines" episode where Sgt. Carter was talking to Opie in the hotel room featured the same music that played at the end of "Opie the Birdman" episode on TAGS. Kind of a father/son thing there - well done. sleeping
Yes, I'm sleeping extra since this virus debacle began and also cooking more what with the extra time on my hands. But mostly I'm getting to watch TAGS nearly all day long to Me-TV making this month a tribute to Mayberry! I've put most of the episodes along with Mayberry RFD on the DVR along with a couple of the other shows on which Mayberry alumni appeared. And of course I'm taping the Return film on the 31st. It's been most enjoyable as there are shows I had never seen before! I'm just perplexed as to the changeable status of Aunt Bee after Andy and Helen got married and I guess left town. Seems as if the writers were a bit befuddled and therefore vague as to factual details. But in any case I always enjoy being in my hometown and spending time visiting with everyone. If only there were a real Mayberry to which I could move. I still entertain my daydreams of a real-life theme park based on Mayberry; can you just envision it? It's absolutely thrilling in my mind! Barney repeating names
I can think of 3 episodes where Barney recited a character's name repeatedly- once in a state of puzzlement and twice in exasperation at Andy- any guesses?? Eric Swolgaard Sacramento, CA ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.wbmutbb.com/
