"Twilight Zone" - and a question

2020-08-14 Thread Joe
Well, I have to nominate Dennis B. as the August "Noticer of the Month" -
I mean, really - EIGHT alumni in one episode of the Twilight Zone! I've
watched that episode and never noticed 8 TAGS alumni. And noticing the
similarity of the main character's name to that of the NC Governor too -
pretty impressive.

I definitely remember maybe 3 references to The Twilight Zone in various
TAGS episodes, but I can't recall which ones.

Now my question: watched "The Ball Game" episode today, and I wondered if
the ball field was part of the 40 Acres lot, or an actual Little League
field in the area. Aerial pictures at the time (1966) don't seem to show
any open area as big as the one where the game was played. I figured it
must be a real ball field, not on the studio lot. But IMDB shows the only
filming location as: Desilu Studios, Culver City, California.

Just wonderin'.

RE: Mr. McBeevee

2020-08-14 Thread Jeff Koontz
If you get a chance to go to Franklin Canyon Reservoir to see where they shot
the opening/closing credits Fishin' Hole scene, be sure to drive around the
lake and be on the lookout for other locations. I recognized where they filmed
Mr. McBeevee driving away in his truck by the concrete barrier and wooden
guardrail. I don't recall a pole being there in 2003, but having that in the
scene makes it more realistic.

The road is now a one-way loop. If it was back in the 60's, his truck drives
off in the wrong direction!

Re: TAGS On Twilight Zone

2020-08-14 Thread Curt Granger
It's hard to find episodes of The Twilight Zone where TAGS alumni do not
appear. That's one of the reasons I watch TTZ, is alumni spotting. I
watched one the other day, with only three actors in the cast, and none
were TAGS alumni.

Never could understand why Mr. McBee vee walked around in the trees, if he
was a phone lineman. They don't run lines in trees.
