Just listened to the Frank Sinatra version of That Lonesome Road and I must say, I prefer Rafe Hollister’s version. Maybe I’m just used to hearing Rafe Hollister’s (Jack Prince) version, but I believe I like his version better. I was eating at a Magliano's restaurant last night and heard this familiar song over the in-house music. It is Frank Sinatra singing that Rafe Hollister hit. Look down that lonesome road
A local radio station plays Frank Sinatra songs every Sunday evening and last night I heard a familiar song, Lonesome Road. Frank's version was jazzier but didn't seem to have the emotion of Rafe Hollister's. I'll bet Barney would have been surprised that Frank strayed away from the light classics.
