First of all I'm still a beginner at HTML and doing my best but I've hit a road block.
On this page, http://www.spectrumvt.org/index3.html I have a large amount of blank space above the initial code. Why is this happening? I really want to understand as much as fix it. Also I would like to take the tilted maroon text and put it under the block sections but the layer and div commands don't seem to let me do it. I know I'm doing something wrong but I'm not quite sure what. I'm really not asking anybody to write my code, I just want to better understand why these two things aren't working the way I thought they would.
