I regularly develop on a 1600x1200 screen, and usually have more than
one monitor hooked up to expand that even more.  When you're coding it's
impossible to get enough code on the screen at one time.  One of DW8's
biggest faults (in my opinion) is the lack of a split code screen (two
windows into the same file at different locations).
