Search:
table.field = "on" (shows rows with "T")
table.field != "on" (no rows, even though there are some "F"'s)

2.7.3-stable+timestamp.2013.10.11.19.30.17, MySQL, field defined as 
boolean, char(1)

I think this worked, but haven't used it in some time.
