there seems to be a bug in webkit (affecting webkitgtk, qtwebit and
chromium) which leads to incorrect rendering of:

Some of you might be aware of the problem with font selection in the GTK
Port [1]. This is really pain in the ass especially on linux where we
usually don't have any full-Unicode coverage and rely heavily on font
fall-back rules. This is broken in WebKitGTK in a way that e.g. when you
use

I'm having some issues with correct display of fonts in Midori and
Epiphany (both with WebKit-gtk backend) on Fedora 9. I am not sure if
this problem is in WebKit-gtk or somewhere else, so I am letting you
know as well (I filled a bug at fedora bugzilla [1]). In short, there is
