My personal favourite is FreeBSD, but it doesn't really matter: you should go
with the OS that you feel more confident with. WO is Java, and Java runs
everywhere. Pick whatever you prefer.

Many of us are using CentOS or some Linux flavor. Give it as much RAM as you
can. On my machine, the CPU is almost always at zero. Configuration wise, I
think Dave Leber's presentation this year on Linode deployment is a good place
to start.

even need Xserve and stopped building them). I have heard SAP is involved for
the Apple Store but those are just rumors.
