Absolutely :-)

I also agree on this. The initial problem with the site was the lack of
participation on content not on running the site. The website team
should still be able to review/contribute as per normal.

Maybe it is a lack of my English but I don't understand this note.
There were many weeks/months in which nobody do something on the content
of the website although e.g. Christian call/cry for content.
Christian and Stefan (as I remember) built the download and some other
scripts because no one else do the job. Then David took him a heart and
made content in order to get a site which we can present in time.
The site with the content is up since December 24th. There was many time
to discuss about the content.
And now you tell that the website team has no possibility for
participation on content?
I think that everybody of the website team who wants to
review/contribute has an account to libreoffice.org with
author/publisher rights. Do it, website team (but think of the note of
David who requests to wait until January 10th.)

I think it's because you're using this template {{OrigLang|}}
You should use only {{Lang|}} because otherwise it's the original

Hi Sophie

after make the change you suggested still remains into EN category

It's strange, I don't see where it takes the EN category now, but I'm
not a wiki expert, so may be others will have a better idea.

I'm no expert in the wiki but the problem was:
[[Category:ES/Templates|Menubar]]
and Menubar is the English category. I have changed it now in
[Category:ES/Templates|barra_de_menu]] and it works. Maybe you take an
other name for the category. My Spanish isn't worth to talk about.

@Daniel: I have commented off the {{Lang|}} because in the localized
templates the Lang template makes no sense. You can't link from this
place to the other menus.

@Daniel, all: Maybe we should make Menu/es and not ES.Menu because then
we can go from the Menu-template to Menu/es. The same with
Menu.Sub_Menu/es like Menu.QA/es.
I know the German isn't changed yet but I will ask Christain Kühl about
changing it.

BTW, there is currently an IRC channel #libreoffice-es that says :

Can one of our admins replace the current banner with the DFD banner

And remove it on Thursday, when DFD is over?

I'd prefer to have a Keep on donating banner there as well, but your
comment is reasonable:

The problem is: We should not decide about the banner in a fast way.
This banner (without the DFD but with the text) should be our banner
for the next time.

We must/want to change the current banner and develop a new.

So we should have only the DFD banner for tomorrow - and no banner at
all until we have created a new Donate!-Banner.

We can put the old banner back as long as we have no new banner.

If everyone agrees to this, then I'll add it that way.

Being out of the loop a bit w/o net currently - have we made a
decision here?

As far as I can see, no decision yet. Do we want to keep the 3.3 on the
downloads page? Is the 3.4 still too bleeding edge to recommend to the
masses?

Maybe we should have a link pointing to Previous versions where people
could download v.3.3.x should they wish to do so.

I don't think that 3.3.3 is a previous version. It should be the very
stable version for corporations (conservative users) as it is shown on
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:Adapt-o-meter.png.

We also need to think as far as support. I don't think there has been a
decision on supporting 3.3.x for a set amount of time. Are security
updates applied to 3.3.x when applied to 3.4?

I am more worried about our support and end of life policy. I am not
sure I have seen any of this as this is our first real major upgrade
from our initial version release.

You are right. But we should put this point of discussion out of this
thread (maybe out of this list). It is too important for beeing hidden
behind download pages for two versions. Would you open for this a new
thread?

Does anyone know if this policy exists?

Cheers

Marc

Hi all,

I have worked (with the support of one of the core developers of Plone) on a new
environment for LibreOffice-Extensions, that we can setup on one of the servers
of
The Document Foundation. The new environment is currently on my local PC but
will be
soon available online.

I'll put some screenshots of my current site on the wiki page:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Exitensions-website

I was nitpicking ;-) and moved the page to:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Extensions-website

I asked on the design-list today for a logo for the new site. But I need also a
proposal for the whole layout of the site (colors etc.) Feel free to add your
layout
proposals to the wiki page. If you need more information please ask on this
list.

Regards,
Andreas

[libreoffice-website] [Wiki] [CMS] Special Page:EmailUser

2011-06-06 Thread ol klaus-jürgen weghorn

Hi Wikiadmins,
if there is a change on a wikipage which I have on my watchlist I get an
email. There it is a notice:

 Contact the editor:
 mail:
 http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Special:EmailUser/(name of the user)

But when I'm following such a link I get the message that there is no
such special page.
Is it possible to get such a page? So it is easier to talk to the person
who made the changes.

Now that LibreOffice 3.5.2 is out should the Pre-Releases page be
updated? It is suggesting the download of LibreOffice 3.5.2 RC2
(2012-03-29).

Every time when we have a rc getting the final we have this behaviour on
the webpage.

Maybe we shouldn't write any version number for rcs so this problem will
be off. And nobody is needed to update that page every time when a rc is
up. The number of the rc is shown in the name and only people who know
what this is should download a rc.
