Re: Fwd: [libreoffice-website] General appeal on communication style
Hi Nino, all, it is not about the Litmus link but about the Alfresco link. The Litmus link wont be the problem. It isn't of any interests by David. Let me describe it: David made a link to Alfresco on the top menu. He doesn't tell us why he do so. He has no need do to so. I asked him why and he gave an explanation. Then Sophie said that it isn't good to have this link on the menu and we shall put it out. So I put it out. I did it - as David said arbitrarily - because the reasons which Sophie gave were more important for me than Davids'. Then David put it back right after I put it out. I made my own thoughts about this behaviour on this thread and on some other occasions. If you all - except David - think that I have done it arbitrarily and without any good reason shall tell me that. The left sidebar won't give the right information for the localized teams. Christian Kühl has made a menubar for the German part of the wiki pages and therefor several templates to get a unique menubar. See e.g [1]. It should give the wikipages some structure especially for the newbies. He made a main template [2] and several sub templates e.g. [3] [4]. On the German-ml there is a kind of consense to use it. What do you think to make it for all wiki pages? Now I have made a page [1] in which all the menus are displayed. The page shows the structure of the templates and a description of localizing the templates. Read, comment and change it. The submenus aren't developped yet. The most are placeholders. We can discuss about the points we want to have in the (sub)menus. @Daniel: Try to follow my description about localization and give me special comments back if it works. Hi Sophie, *, Am 14.03.2011 18:38, schrieb Sophie Gautier: It's really great, thanks a lot :-) I'm just missing the l10n category but it's also missing from the existent left menu. It is integrated now. Also I would change Doku to Doc if you need it short or Documentation if it could be long. Of course, so change. And I have made a first international submenu [1] So we can talk about the menu points in the submenus too. Re: [libreoffice-website] Renaming and deleting pages
Hi Claudio, Am 11.03.2011 20:49, schrieb Claudio F Filho: Hi We are translating some pages and generating many others for pt-br. Inside this process, we found two types of problem: error in the name of page and duplicated pages. In duplicated pages, we have problem inside of QA pages. A example: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/PT-BR/BugReport http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport/pt-br Is the same content, but using the concept of multilingual wiki, the second page is the way to follow. All other QA pages already are in this mode (QA//pt-br). So, the question is: is possible to delete a wiki page? Put {{Delete|Short description why the page should be deleted}} at the top of the page. Sophie will delete the page after a while. The other case was my mistake in our user group page, where i did wiki../PT-BR/gubro, where my wish was to use wiki../PT-BR/Gubro. See the uppercase of first letter in "Gubro". Like this page, we have some others. So, i ask if is possible rename it? In the headline of the wiki page, left of the "search" field and right of "history" there is a triangle. When you put the mouse on it, there is shown a "verschieben" (in German) [alt-m]. There you can move/rename the page. Maybe there are other ways to do these things. Then someone else should tell it. [libreoffice-website] Current Website
Hi David, Christian, there are some things which I see, when I look at the download page [1]: - In ie8 there is a black vertical line after the logo. In firefox there is none - the "available translation" list is vertical. If we will have 20 or more translations it will be a very deep scroll to get the downlaod - there is no download for windows. I get a "null" and "null (fallback)" both in ie8 and firefox - the link on the logo doesn't function. You will get right the page you have. If I should wait to look at the correctness of the page tell me this. k-j [1] http://www.libreoffice.org/download/ -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to website+h...@libreoffice.org List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/website/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***

Re: [libreoffice-website] Re: Regroup and further development of the website(s)
Hi all, Am 04.01.2011 15:43, schrieb Marc Paré: There are many people involved in this list who are keen to contribute. Lets get them involved. To do that, we need to be kept up to date with the Silverstripe site progress and encourage collaboration, delegation and accountability. Absolutely :-) I also agree on this. The initial problem with the site was the lack of participation on content not on running the site. The website team should still be able to review/contribute as per normal. Maybe it is a lack of my English but I don't understand this note. There were many weeks/months in which nobody do something on the content of the website although e.g. Christian call/cry for content. Christian and Stefan (as I remember) built the download and some other scripts because no one else do the job. Then David took him a heart and made content in order to get a site which we can present in time. The site with the content is up since December 24th. There was many time to discuss about the content. And now you tell that the website team has no possibility for participation on content? I think that everybody of the "website team" who wants to review/contribute has an account to libreoffice.org with author/publisher rights. Do it, "website team" (but think of the note of David who requests to wait until January 10th.)
