Maybe we shouldn't write any version number for rcs so this problem will

As far as I can see, no decision yet. Do we want to keep the 3.3 on the

Maybe we should have a link pointing to Previous versions where people

We also need to think as far as support. I don't think there has been a
decision on supporting 3.3.x for a set amount of time. Are security
updates applied to 3.3.x when applied to 3.4?

I am more worried about our support and end of life policy. I am not

You are right. But we should put this point of discussion out of this

Does anyone know if this policy exists?

Can one of our admins replace the current banner with the DFD banner

And remove it on Thursday, when DFD is over?

I'd prefer to have a Keep on donating banner there as well, but your

The problem is: We should not decide about the banner in a fast way.
This banner (without the DFD but with the text) should be our banner

We must/want to change the current banner and develop a new.

So we should have only the DFD banner for tomorrow - and no banner at

The first:
On German-discuss-ml there were some discussions that it is not easy for
newbies to find the right information on the localized pages of the
wiki. The left sidebar won't give the right information for the
localized teams.

Christian Kühl has made a menubar for the German part of the wiki pages
and therefor several templates to get a unique menubar. See e.g [1].
It should give the wikipages some structure especially for the newbies.
He made a main template [2] and several sub templates e.g. [3] [4].

On the German-ml there is a kind of consense to use it.
What do you think to make it for all wiki pages?

Now I have made a page [1] in which all the menus are displayed.
The page shows the structure of the templates and a description of
localizing the templates.

Read, comment and change it.

Many comments at all ;-)

The submenus aren't developped yet. The most are placeholders.
We can discuss about the points we want to have in the (sub)menus.

Now I have made the submenus as I thought they will be right. [1]

What is the next step with the menus: (mainly @Sophie)
1 Should we vote if we want to use them? Then I will start the voting in
a extra e-mail.

or
2 Is it a decision of the sc?
or
3 Should we even use it? Then I will start to build them in some pages.

It's strange, I don't see where it takes the EN category now, but I'm
not a wiki expert, so may be others will have a better idea.

I'm no expert in the wiki but the problem was:
[[Category:ES/Templates|Menubar]]
and Menubar is the English category. I have changed it now in
[Category:ES/Templates|barra_de_menu]] and it works. Maybe you take an
other name for the category. My Spanish isn't worth to talk about.

@Daniel: I have commented off the {{Lang|}} because in the localized
templates the Lang template makes no sense. You can't link from this
place to the other menus.

@Daniel, all: Maybe we should make Menu/es and not ES.Menu because then
we can go from the Menu-template to Menu/es. The same with
Menu.Sub_Menu/es like Menu.QA/es.
I know the German isn't changed yet but I will ask Christain Kühl about
changing it.

BTW, there is currently an IRC channel #libreoffice-es that says :

Hi all,
I will start some new discussions about our wiki.

The submenus aren't developped yet. The most are placeholders.
We can discuss about the points we want to have in the (sub)menus.

@Daniel: Try to follow my description about localization and give me
special comments back if it works.

Grüße
k-j

Yes of course. But it seems to be that everybody is quite busy to answer.

Only a short answer:

I guess my next question(s) are.. what would the next step be? What areas

guys soon.

Read this mailing list and then you will get work if you really want it.
Get in the discussions and you are in the work.

When you put one finger in the air we will take the whole arm ;-).

Hi all,

I don't konw if this is browser specific, but our header look very high, when I
browse to our website (any page on http://www.libreoffice.org) with IE 8 here
at work.

See screenshot at
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:LibO_Mainpage_high_heading.PNG

I use ie8 too, but there is no problem with it. The right line is
exactly on the bottom line of LibreOffice.

Maybe not members of the SC, but there are people that have been
answering on the mailing lists from the very beginning and further
on, that it would be wrong to beleive that there was any concrete
decision pro Drupal. It´s not correct to expect an apology for the
waste of time from anyone, if the people working on a Drupal
solution did not want to recognize this information.

[libreoffice-website] Current Website

2011-01-09 Thread ol klaus-jürgen weghorn

Hi David, Christian,
there are some things which I see, when I look at the download page [1]:
- In ie8 there is a black vertical line after the logo. In firefox there
is none
- the available translation list is vertical. If we will have 20 or
more translations it will be a very deep scroll to get the downlaod
- there is no download for windows. I get a null and null (fallback)
both in ie8 and firefox
- the link on the logo doesn't function. You will get right the page you
have.

If I should wait to look at the correctness of the page tell me this.

I beg to differ. There was a group of website members willing to help

Do you look for this site:

Greetings

Thanks. Yes.

De rien.

This way you will find it in the wiki:
Left navbar: click 'website'
and then take the Point 5.3 'Tasks and volunteers' and then you will
find it the next time. [1]

Hi all,

There are many people involved in this list who are keen to
contribute. Lets get them involved.
To do that, we need to be kept up to date with the Silverstripe site
progress and encourage collaboration, delegation and accountability.

Absolutely :-)

I also agree on this. The initial problem with the site was the lack of
participation on content not on running the site. The website team
should still be able to review/contribute as per normal.

Maybe it is a lack of my English but I don't understand this note.
There were many weeks/months in which nobody do something on the content
of the website although e.g. Christian call/cry for content.
Christian and Stefan (as I remember) built the download and some other
scripts because no one else do the job. Then David took him a heart and
made content in order to get a site which we can present in time.
The site with the content is up since December 24th. There was many time
to discuss about the content.
And now you tell that the website team has no possibility for
participation on content?
I think that everybody of the website team who wants to
review/contribute has an account to libreoffice.org with
author/publisher rights. Do it, website team (but think of the note of
David who requests to wait until January 10th.)

Greetings
