It seems funny that Linux users are not handled correctly instructed on this page. Yes, "Download the Fedora Media Writer app below" needs to be reworked somehow. At a minimum starting point "Download the Fedora Media Writer app AS DESCRIBED below". Will Fedora Media Writer work on other Linuxes? For example, how can a Mint user run it? A footnote, hidden away somehow, saying dd should just work, would take some of the mystery out of the process for some people. I would guess something would need to be filed at https://github.com/MartinBriza/MediaWriter regarding changing the default version. Personally I'm not sure about suggesting using `dd`, for the same reasons you mentioned above. I've used `livecd-iso-to-disk` but I'm not sure i that's any different than `dd`, really. Introduction - Jaco Roux
Good day, My name is *Jaco Roux*, 28 years old from South Africa and I am a Junior PHP developer with exposure to JavaScript, HTML/CSS, MySQL, AJAX and Natural/ADABAS. I love the challenge of coding and creating new ideas daily and I am currently studying towards my National Diploma in IT. Through my studies and work, I have been exposed to a lot of different technologies and I am an active proponent of web development because of the power it gives you to create scalable applications that can run on any device. I would like to start contributing because I want to help the Fedora project and learn new things along the way by getting more exposure as my skills improve.
