Occasionally (about once a week), weewx just seems to shut it self down. Debug output from the last one. I did a reboot and it errored again, so I did a physical power off and on, and that seem to clear it. Thinking it might be SDR dongle related? Open to additional ideas/places to look:

Various ways to connect; USB, IP, SDR. Quick search of the user group, looks like Weewx supports the WS-2902a. Using a SDR is a valid option to interface with the WS-1900 sensors. You would need to configure RTL_433 to hop between the 915 MHz and 433 MHz to receive the two additional sensors.

Your logger is responding with an unknown hardware type. I doubt this has anything to do with the upgrade. Try power cycling: unplug the power supply from your Vantage and take out its batteries. While you are at it, reseat the logger. Then put everything back together and try again. -tk On
