I have no issues with the AS3935 lightning detector module, but I'm using
the I2C pinouts.

I am seeing the same thing. It looks like the error is coming from
manager.py here:

I think it is overkill--but I did it anyway--so I've been running Raspbian
with weewx with the Cumulus plug-in and the CPU is idle. I don't believe
heat would be an issue in this config however I am using an RTL-SDR that
runs very hot so it skews things. No case or fans presently. My

The two pads A0 and A1 are for setting the base address and are not allowed
to float (not documented very well so this stumped me for ages). Your setup
