Tom/Mathew - can this be added to a wishlist somewhere - for skin (or 
skins) to be included in registration and for the showcase to be updated - 
say monthly - to show examples of all wiki-listed(so people know where to 
find the skin) available skins rather than the somewhat random selection it 
presently shows which is rarely (if ever) updated.
As I wrote this an alternative has come to mind - the wiki list of skins 
could/should include a mandatory link to an example of useage (and include 
weewx 'out-of-the-box' skins in the list)

Now it's correct. I don't understand nothing. The graph data matches those 
of NOAA now and not before. day 2-31.1 day 3-30.6 day 4-28.4.

It makes no sense to me. The maximum temperature of August 2 is 31.1 
regardless of the time scale. And in the graph if we put time_length = 
2592000 it is 27.9 and if we put time_length = month it is 31.1 which is 
the correct. Something is wrong.

the showcase is not automatically update - those screenshots are from the 
date/time we made them

the map is automatically updated - if your screenshot on the map is older 
than a month, please let me know.

i guess that is another feature request for the registry: keep old images 
so you can go back in time for any given site :)

I think simply changing to "Simulator" and a restart will do. But backup 
your database before and restore it, before you connect the real station 
again.

 I wish to change the station type from Vantage to Simulator, Can someone 
explain how to do this please, I have moved house and setup my Raspberry Pi 
but my station need collecting from my old house and I just want to 
temporarily run Simulator to ensure everything is alright with the lat/long 
etc changes I made to config file .Thanks.

just write a weewx driver that makes a periodic request for the

as andrew noted, you could write a weewx service to do this.

or you could create a serial port sniffer in hardware.  create a wiring 
harness with 3 serial ports - one port plugs into the vp2, the other two do 
a 'Y' from that.  one of those two plugs into the computer running weewx, 
the other plugs into the other listener.  you only have to connect 3 wires: 
TX, RX, and GND.  you can even eliminate the TX pin for the non-weewx 
device.

as long as weewx is the only software sending commands, the other device 
will be a passive listener.

this is a common approach for reverse engineering serial protocols, and it 
is an easy (and super inexpensive) way to get serial data to multiple 
devices.

but only ONE device can do the sending/commands.  others must be passive 
listeners.

then write your software to read and decode the traffic that passes over 
the serial line.

If time_lenght is month instead of 2592000 the results are correct. Perhaps 
that is why in the year chart that has time_lenght = year they are also 
correct. Maybe if it were 31536000 no, I haven't tried it.

Hi Ian

Experiencing some real issues with the daylight/sundial module. It is empty 
and has never worked for me. Trying to get it up and running before I
upgrade to this amazing new template.

To put things in context, I am using Gentoo Linux (source based distro), 
and therefore the prerequisite "*php7.3-pear*" does not exist as such, I do 
however have
dev-php/pear and dev-php/PEAR-PEAR installed.

I have a feeling I am missing a specific php/pear module which is doing the 
"work" which populates the daylight/sundial module, or am I totally off the 
mark?

It would be most helpful if you could post your output of  "*php -m*" and I 
could perhaps compare with what you have installed?

I have searched all over the internet, and there's nothing to be found with 
regards to the sundial container and PHP to give me any ideas.

Any pointers would be really appreciated.

all you can do really is write a service, which you bind to a LOOP packet, 
and do your serial output froom that service.  The danger is that the 
service may block weewx if there is an issue with the output serial 
connection.  weewx itself cannot do what you are trying to do.  the LOOP 
data for a record is not kept by weewx, so you cannot output LOOP data 
'after creating record and web pages'.  Another approach might be for the 
service you write to create an output file of the LOOP data and have a non 
weewx program looking for this file, processing it and deleting it once 
processed.  There are several ways you could try - but all require 
development and definition and are not part of weewx.  Why are you wanting 
to output the LOOP data to another machine??

This theme is using the Roboto font for graph generation. The used fonts 
and paths are specified in the skin.conf at the [ImageGenerator] section 
(ca. line 341). Make sure that the Roboto font is installed and available 
at the path. If necessary adjust the paths or change the font at all.
On debian based systems you can install the font with sudo apt install 
fonts-roboto and it will be installed at the specified path.

Hello There :

I have a Davis VP2 running in Rpi3@Weewx3.9.2 through a USB Datalogger

and I was wondering is there anyway to sent the LOOP data

to a USB TO RS232 Cable in my /dev/ttyUSB2

so I can receive serial data on my rs232 device
