I have a Vantage Pro2 weather station.
When the wind is Eastward the Weewx software always shows Wind Direction =
90 degrees. It never shows e.g. 88, 89, 91 or 92.
The same happens when the wind is Westward, always shows 270 ( rare 262 )
or NE direction, shows 45 degrees.
Why does it show

There are batteries in the console.
With the tag you gave me I got the following results:
Calculate rain total
day = $rain.day.sum.formatted
day = 0.0 mm
Direct reading rain total from the console
day = $current.dayRain.formatted
day = ?'dayRain'?

I have a Vantage Pro2 and WeeWx version 3.4.0. On a rainy day there was a
power cut and my computer turned off. The power came back 2 hours later but
the rain had stopped.
When I turned on my computer I noticed that the weewx had a lower value in
day rain mm in respect to console which showed
I will test it in the next rainfall by turning off my computer manually.
After that I will update it with version 3.8.2.
Does the same apply for the following?

$day.rainRate.max
Which of the above is calculated by the weewx and which by the console?
