Re: [weewx-user] Re: Weatther Station stops same time every week

2024-08-26 Thread dunbrokin
Apologies, yes it's always a good idea.

For the last 3 weeks on Sat night at 11.50 it stopped recording.but
rebooting started it again the next day. However this week after rebooting
it stopped at 11.10 am and despite rebooting, it never started recording
again.

So I ran the log as per the instructionsbut it only ran for about 6
minutes. Attached is all that was recorded in almost 15 minutes.

Sorry, just one more thing. In the skin I was using (for many years) until
all this happened, I was able to include a photograph every hour of the
weather. I have no idea how I did this as it was so long agocan
somebody throw me a crumb please so that I can start working on that. I
think I am using the standard skin. I am sure all of this will be in the
back up image that I have got...but I have no idea where to start looking.
As ever, thank you for your patience and support!

Re: [weewx-user] Problem with weewx after power failure

2024-04-15 Thread dunbrokin
Yes apologies, it has been so long since my system misbehaved (probably 10
years), I had forgotten what was required.

I looked back over the history of commands in the terminal of the Rpi and
found these commands: (probably given to me by you last time around)

1297 sudo /etc/init.d/weewx stop

1298 wee_device --dump

1299 wee_device --clear-memory

1300 sudo /etc/init.d/weewx start

I tried them and lo! and behold! We are back online!

Thank you to all who tried to help...always much appreciated.

Thanks for that Gary, I might have to park the history project for a while
as I seem to have bigger problems!

I had everything running nicely - updating WU and was able to see my output
on index.html.and then I went headless... shutdown pulled out the
screen, keyboard and mouse and rebooted.now it will not update WU nor
can I see it working on file:///var/www/html/weewx/index.html.Hm! I
wonder what I might have done wrong now!

Just for the record, for anybody following this discussion, there is a
slight difference in my file to the solution shown abovenot sure it
makes much difference; but it may save some confusion.

min has "name_server" instead of "nameserver". I am assuming that
"name_server" is the one I should use.
