So I've now changed the archive period to 300 seconds.
How blimming odd!
It "Seems" to have fixed it.
I fired weewx rain at it at 22:46, 0.011 in the first weewx file.
I then fired a 0.022 in the next minute
and then another 0.022 in the next minute
So total rain was 0.055 .

Thanks for the reply.
I've just changed the archive interval back to 300 (5 minutes). and I'm
going to do some more testing.
I'm manually just adding some rain into the weewx file to see if I can work
out what is going on.

Hi,
Suggest you put some logging into the modified driver you are using so you can
see what is being read when.
Likely unrelated but I get uneasy when loop interval == archive interval.
Sooner or later you are likely to have an archive interval with no loop data.
