Hi,
please use the wget command as follows:

wget -t 1 -T 1 1.1.1.1

or on any other not accessible address.
After execution of this command I have the following messages:

--08:57:37--  http://1.1.1.1/
           => `index.html'
Connecting to 1.1.1.1:80...

and after a much longer period than 1 second (as set in the above
example)
the following messages are:

--08:57:37--  http://1.1.1.1/
           => `index.html'
Connecting to 1.1.1.1:80... failed: No route to host.
Giving up.


Is the option 'T' working or not ?
My Linux is RH 7.2 and wget is 1.8.2
